Employee benefits from training and organizational commitment-an empirical investigation

Organizational Commitment has clearly emerged as the most recognized and researched construct of the employee’s attachment or loyalty to the organization. Training makes a very important contribution to the development of the organizations human resources. In a hotel industry, Training has been linked to improve self-esteem, reduction in turnover rate, high degree of guest satisfaction, adapting new technology, improved teamwork, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment. The main objective of this study is to investigate the relationship between employee benefits from training and organizational commitment of employees of hotels in Kerala. To meet this purpose, an empirical study was done; respondents are selected from star classified hotels in Kerala based on convenience sampling. The results show a positive relationship between career benefits of training and affective organizational commitment. Continue reading
